Continuing the Revitalization of Erie County

In a meeting of Erie County Council on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, Chairman Carl Anderson III created an Economic Impact & COVID Revitalization Committee for the purposes of utilizing funds from local, state, and federal agencies for the purposes of offsetting the effects of the COVID-19 virus.  The committee will be lead by both Carl Anderson III (District 4) and fellow Councilperson Kim Clear (District 1).  Other committee members include Councilpersons Brian Shank (District 5) and Mary Rennie (District 3) as well as Dr. Perry Wood, Executive Director of the Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority (ECGRA).

Meetings of this committee will be regularly advertised in both the Erie Times News and on the ECGRA website.

 

 

Economic Impact & COVID Revitalization

 

An impact investing organization, ECGRA's mission is to empower the nonprofit sector, municipal governments, and economic development agencies to revitalize Erie County.  ECGRA is endowed with local share gaming revenue from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania via the Horse Race Gaming Act.  Local share gaming revenue is an assessment of the licensed gambling industry in Pennsylvania.
